Hi there! I'm Kristen, a wedding and event planner in Kansas City!
It started with planning sorority gatherings in college. I was the one with the spreadsheet, the timeline, and way too many ideas. After an internship confirmed what I already suspected, I spent the next decade working alongside hundreds of vendors, coordinating everything from intimate celebrations to corporate events with over 1,200 guests. I've seen every kind of curveball a wedding day can throw, and I've never once wished I was doing something else.
where it all started
I fell in love with events before I even knew it could be my career.
It's the moment right after the ceremony — when the couple turns back down the aisle and it hits them that they're actually married. Or the quiet, emotional beat of a first look before anyone else arrives. Those moments don't happen by accident. They happen because every detail was handled, every vendor was in place, and the couple was free to just be there. That's what I get to make possible, and it never gets old.
I launched Events with Kristen in 2025 to do this work on my own terms — bringing my own process, my own vendor relationships, and my own genuine love for this industry to every single event. Whether it's a wedding for 300 or a birthday dinner for 20, I show up the same way every time: organized, calm, and completely in your corner.
Then I found the part of this job that makes it feel like a gift every single time.

My Fun Facts
I played 4 different musical instruments growing up...the piano, trombone, clarinet and alto saxophone (played the longest).

Avid sports player, grew up playing multiple sports but ended up playing tennis in college and still play to this day.

If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be Mexican food. Chips and queso, mandatory.
